WACO - Local transportation officials have removed median projects on Valley Mills and Hewitt Drives from a priority list.
It comes after a meeting with business owners last night who say the median would cut into their bottom lines.
The project recently ranked high on a list by the Waco Metropolitan Planning Organization as part of a plan to outline transportation funds for the next 25 years.
City council members say they understand business owners' fears and are willing to find a working solution.
The median projects combined are expected to cost an estimated $12.8 million.
