Man arrested in connection with deputy hit-and-run

Waco Police served an arrest warrant today on Raymond Ross Mormino Jr., for aggravated assault and failure to stop and render aid after a deputy was injured in a hit-and-run Monday.

Mormino was arrested in connection with the hit-and-run of Deputy Caldwell with the McLennan County Sheriff Office. He was taken into custody at his house in the 1000 block of Cloverleaf Bellmead Texas.

Mormeno was taken to McLennan County Jail without incident.
