Bryan ISD will give bonuses to faculty members who retire early

BRYAN -- Bryan ISD employees now have a new monetary incentive to retire from the job early.

The school board will give bonuses to the first 150 faculty members who request to retire by March ninth.

BISD hopes to help shave off nearly one-million dollars from next year's school budget with the program because the budget needs to be reduced by about three-million.
